Hallo ihr lieben
Wir sitzen grade in Coober Pedy mitten in der wueste und schreiben euch diese paar Zeilen.
Wir haben Adelaide mit gemischten gefuehlen verlassen. Die Stadt an sich ist wunderschoen und hatte viele wunderschoene Gaerten. Aber da die Reparatur so viel gekostet hat bleibt warscheinlich fuer immer ein bitterer Nachgeschmack zurueck, da wir ja jetzt Komplett Western Australia mit seinen Wunderschoenen Ecken auslassen muessen!!
Da es hier in South Australia keine Arbeit mehr gibt haben wir uns auf den weg nach western Australia gemacht da dort die Fruit and Vegetable saison losgeht.
Am ersten tag (abends nachdem wir barnie abgeholt haben) haben wir es ganz relaxt angehen lassen und sind die Kueste 120 km hochgefahren bis ueber Port Wakefield. Wo es aber nichts besonderes zu sehen gab.
Am 2ten tag waren dann 250 km angesagt die uns bis hinter Port Augusta gefuehrt haben. In Port Augusta haben wir uns dann Reisefertig fuer das Outback gemacht mit 45 l wasser und vielen Konserven so wie eine Neue Kuehltasche (Der naechste supermarkt ist 1550 km weiter weg in Alice Springs). Auf dem kurzen stueck hat sich dann die landschaft vom saftigen gruen der wiesen in eine Karge Landschaft mit Roter Erde und verdorten Baeumen entwickelt. Unbd die Temperaturen sind um 5-10 grad gestiegen.
Heute (3ter tag) wird es eine Marathon strecke werden. Wir haben schon gute 450 km zurueck gelegt und spaeter werden wir dann nochmal ca 150 km fahren.
Hier sieht es aus wie in der Wueste/ Steppe, alle Baeume sind verschwunden und bis auf ein Paar Tankstellen alle paar 100 km gibt es hier nichts. Ein wunder das Coober Pedy so gross ist!!
Also dann wir werden morgen hoffentlich das rote Centrum erreichen und uns den Sonnenuntergang am Ayers Rock anschauen!!

Sorry for the short letter last time. But we hadn't have enough time.
We drove away from Adelaide with a good/bad feeling. The city was beautyful with this huge Botanic garden and the green parks around. And the citycentre with a lot of free museums (we visited only the South Australian Museum (culture) and the South australian Art Gallery).
But the bad think was that barnie needs a new gearbox, Radiator and a new timing belt what did costs us a lot of money. So we can't afford to go to western australia. Cause there is no work anymore in south australia and we hadn't the money to do the big loop around.
So we drove at the same evening up the cost to Port Wakefield were we camped overnight.
The next day was a longer distance from about 250 km up to Port Augusta. And the nature became different the fresh green color of the gras change in a brown/Red color of the earth and the rotten trees around. In Port Augusta we made us ready to drive to the outback and bought all the stuff we need (cause the next supermarket is 1550 km far away).
Today we drove about 450km (uhh a very long distance) to Coober Pedy were we are right now and here is only desert around us and you have only a few patrol stations every 100 kms. We didn't know that Coober pedy is so a big town!! The rest of the day we will drive on up the way to Ayers Rock and camp hmm about 150 km north of Coober Pedy and hopefully tommorrow we can see the sunset at the Ayers Rock!!!
